Is There Anyone Hearing Your Voice is a non-commercial disaster communication and public awareness project created with the idea that communication is of vital importance during earthquakes and disasters.
In major disasters, electricity, internet, and GSM infrastructure may be disrupted. One of the biggest problems in such moments is that people cannot communicate with their relatives and others around them.
Our starting point is a very simple question:
“How will we hear each other when phones don't work?”
Our Goal
The Is There Anyone Hearing Your Voice project aims to make radio usage a natural part of disaster preparedness, rather than a subject known only to professionals or amateur radio operators.
Our goal is to ensure that families, apartments, neighborhoods, businesses, and volunteers are aware of communication before a disaster.
Therefore, in our project:
We provide clear information on radio usage during disasters.
We explain the correct and conscious use of PMR446 radios.
We provide information on earthquake kits and disaster preparedness.
We gather useful resources related to recent earthquakes and disasters.
We support the spread of amateur radio and communication culture.
We encourage free training, conferences, and awareness activities.
We aim to bring the knowledge and experience of experienced amateur radio operators to the community.
A Common Communication Awareness
Having a radio in the bag is not enough on its own. People need to know which channel to use, how to make a call, and how to convey the correct information to the person on the other end before a disaster occurs.
Therefore, within the scope of the project, as a common communication point on PMR446 devices:
PMR446 Channel 1 — 446.00625 MHz
we support the spread of this awareness.
Our aim is not to create a complex communication system; it is to establish a common habit that will make it easier for people to find each other and make their voices heard in times of need.
Not Sales, But Information
Is There Anyone Hearing Your Voice is not an e-commerce project.
Our site may contain information about radios, earthquake kits, power sources, and various equipment that can be used during a disaster; however, there is no product sales, cart, or purchasing system.
Instead of selling a specific brand or product, we aim to help people consciously choose the equipment that suits their needs.
Combining Technology with Disaster Awareness
Our project is not just a website.
We aim to create a sustainable digital platform that provides information before a disaster, helps people access accurate information more quickly during a disaster, and guides communication.
With the AI-supported Is There Anyone Hearing Your Voice Assistant, we are creating an information center that can provide clear answers to users' questions about disaster preparedness, radio usage, emergency communication, and topics within the scope of the project.
Stronger Together
This project is a societal effort that can grow with the contributions of municipalities, public institutions, disaster units, amateur radio operators, volunteers, educators, businesses, and citizens.
Because disaster communication gains meaning not only with a few people being prepared but with a society that knows how to find each other.
We don't know when the earthquake will happen.
But we can prepare today to hear each other when that day comes.
